Singham!

Watching Singham at 4am in the morning. Yes it is not a good proposition for someone who has to write a test next day morning at 8 but who cares! The grades remain the same so, be it so!

Being a die-hard Devgn [ yeah thats how he spells it now] fan, I have been gawking from shot one! Not that he has not done such intense roles before. But the body he has built for this is brilliant... As my friend puts it," 6 packs toh aaj kal Rietesh aur Emraan ke bhi aa gaye hain", but the biceps here are ones you would kill for. What shoulders , what upper arms! A well sculpted , tanned body that can make any girl [ atleast me] go ga-ga over it! Finding it hard to pull myself together you see. Overall a good movie.

Speaking of which I am reminded of this scene where Singham says " Meri zarooratein hain kum isliye mujhmain hai dum!" A line that really makes us all think. We look up to Gandhis and Anna Hazares but we never try to find out what it takes to be them! What separated us from those great people. If I were to answer this I would say greed! Greed for money , greed for position , greed to eat , greed to wear , greed to live . Ours is the GenNext that is busy running after anything and everything. I would say [ like Ash does in the L'oreal ad] STOP and THINK!

My parents were no beer barons nor did they inherit fortunes from theirs. They could still manage to give us more than we needed! Back then for 10 rupees a day was also a treat and God were we happy! But today even if we have numerous zeroes after a whole number, in our accounts, it somehow seems less. Every month we wait for the salary , hoping it will take the uphill climb. In this process, we somewhere forget to enjoy what we do have in hand. We earn to buy bread. But we forget to enjoy the feast in front of us in a bid to outlast the food on the next table. Instead of feeling great about our newly bought cocktail dress, we are busy thinking of the t-shirt that the girl next to us is wearing.

Happiness and satisfaction is what we must search for. My aim in life is [however filmy it may sound] to lay on my death bed thinking that I enjoyed each moment that I got. While doing so I do not see any room for jealousy , competition or ego! I am not saying these humane traits will never cross my way. But all I believe is we can suppress these to come out strong. Rather than being sad thinking of these we can pep ourselves up by eating some chatpata paani puri or watching Blistering Barnecles at 10 in the night at the nearest mall!

Life can be as simple as we make it ! Like the Bawarchi said , " It is very simple to be happy but it is very difficult to be simple." Fodder for mind eh? Munch on then!!!
